Actinic keratosis or solar keratoses

- may be a precurser of SCC
- appear in heavily sun exposed areas in elderly people
- moderate treatment means sometimes sufficient
- consequent sun protection !

Bowen`s disease

- a pre-malignant precurser of SCC
- appear in heavily sun exposed areas
- in elderly people
- should be removed completely
- consequent sun protection !

Leukoplakia

- occurs on mucous membranes, e.g.cheeks, tongue or elsewhere
- may progress into SCC
- smoking is a risk for progression
- if resistent to topical treatment, excision needed

Spitz nevus

- sometimes fast growing
- irregular look
- an early melanoma could as well look like this
- should be removed
